Anxiety Suicide: Just Stay Away With It

Someone might be pushed to take the extreme step to take away one’s life through suicide because of many reasons. Rather than debating whether it is the right thing to do or not, let us identify the facts leading a person to take such an extreme step.
- Physical and sexual abuse leading to great mental turmoil and in ability to bear the consequences
- Sometimes a family history can also be sited for suicidal tendencies
- Television, movies, media or exposure to suicides among neighbors, friend or family members might provoke suicidal thoughts
- The fear of the unknown and in some cases fear of being caught by the police or others for wrong doing like terrorist activities or other illegal activities
- Depression and acute mental disorders might also lead to suicide
Research also points out that the suicidal impulse or thought might arise due to the changes in brain chemicals like neurotransmitters and decreased levels of serotonin, which is the cause for depression.
How can suicide be prevented? How can a person with a suicidal tendency retrieve back to good mental health?
Cognitive therapy and psychotherapy are the proven methods today, which can reduce the symptoms of suicide anxiety. Proper counseling and family co-operation can help the patient to return to normal very quickly.

If you witness or if you know someone with suicidal nature don’t hesitate to alert the family members or just call 911. Do not leave the person alone or unattended keep a careful watch on him or her.
