What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is the state of the human mind and body wherein the mind experiences emotional feelings of fear and worry and the body is usually under stress accompanied by headache, shortness of breath . Some biologists define anxiety as a mechanism of the human brain to react to the situation of stress. People typically feel tense, uncomfortable
And get upset due to very small reasons. There are no clear reasons of why and how feelings of anxiety are triggered in human beings but it is supposed that it is the direct or indirect consequence of the chemical reactions in the brain. Anxiety helps one deal with the tensions of daily life at office, school, and college. Every person experiences anxiety because of some reason or the other. Every individual when put under stress becomes anxious and when two people are given the same task under similar stress conditions they experience a different level of anxiety. The level of stress and hence the level of anxiety experienced by different people is different depending on the individual. Anxiety helps one cope with daily life stress .The feeling or the state of anxiety can be helpful also.
To students in school the main reasons to get anxious are during the exams. A lisle bit of anxiety helps students stay focused.
Anxiety becomes a disorder when in excess.
When in excess anxiety makes an individual to deviate from normal functioning.
Even animals are under stress and thus experience anxiety but as the human beings are thinking creatures and have a decent amount of memory power, the humans are able to move forward and backward in time thus increasing the chances of anxiety being in excess and hence the chances of anxiety becoming a disorder is way more than that to animals. Anxiety when becomes a disorder must be dealt with carefully. Professional psychiatric treatment is advised for extreme cases of anxiety. Anxiety when severe can also lead to depression .depression is a separate state of the human mind which could be very fatal if not dealt with properly.
Anxiety in general can be dealt with by exercising, yoga, meditation.
