Healing Anxiety and Depression by the Power of Your Mind

When anxiety reach the bearable points it mostly gives way for depression. And this problem is really traumatic. Depression will lead to many other problems that have heart- threatening effects. Anxiety gives rise to depression. This must be understood. It is not easy to identify people who suffer from anxiety and depression because they never ask for help. But the symptoms are very obvious. You have to be patient enough to understand the symptoms. Some of the symptoms are lack of sleep, lack of appetite, lack of positive feelings, frequent mood swings, practice negative thinking etc. Sometimes, though very rare, it becomes difficult to know because the person affected is able to hide the symptoms well. Depressed people make suicide attempts. This is very common. We read this in newspapers every day. Many people take away the precious lives by committing suicide. You must know that anxiety and depression go hand in hand.

In women, anxiety and depression symptoms are often times influenced by the monthly periods. There may be anxiety and depression as a result of PMS ie premenstrual syndrome. And also during the tough days of menstruation, there may be rise in anxiety levels. This is mainly because of hormonal imbalance. However, not all the anxiety and depression problems are due to hormones. Sometimes, this happens because some family member's past medical history, or because the gene of the baby was faulty. Genetics plays a very important role here. If there are any problems, it's a possibility they can be rectified.

Other reasons as to why anxiety and depression occurs are the use of drugs, anti-depressants (in excess), over-the-counter medications which are not recommended, and the overall environment where the person lives. All these also play a vital role in a person's life. A person is affected by the people, around and the environment. If the people and the environment are cheerful, the chances of depression are rare. But if a person has to face constant criticism, suspicion, anger, sarcasm etc the person's mental health is seriously affected and the person becomes weak, emotionally.

Healing anxiety and depression isn't easy. There are drugs you can take and doctors you can see but nothing is guaranteed. You should also be prepared to spend a lot of money as anxiety and depression treatment isn't cheap. But do you really know that only you are responsible to take care of your feelings. You must have a positive attitude towards life and must enjoy this life. You may not get the next birth. So don't waste your life by doing negative thinking.

The mind can often overcome many problems, even medical and mental ones. In fact, there are a great many medical practices that don't use drugs at all and they all rely on the power of the mind. Really, mind is too strong and has great potentials.

If you truly believe that you can overcome feeling down, then you can actually work at healing anxiety and depression. It all comes down to positive thinking. If you feel depressed that you don't have this, you don't have that, think of the other less fortunate people. You will get the answer. You have been given what you deserved. So don't brood and complain all the time. Just accept this gift of life and live in such a way that it is your gift to God.

Think positively and know that you can make yourself feel better. Often, when people are healing anxiety and depression with their own minds and not with the use of drugs, they will find that it takes baby steps but it can be done. You must change the outlook towards life.

As it is said that winners don't quit and quitters don't win. However your depression is caused, or even if you don't know, try to use your mind when healing anxiety and depression and don't immediately run to the doctor the minute you feel as though you don't want to leave the house that day. Your mind has got a lot of power. You are hardly using 1/3rd.
