Other Biological Data
Sleep EEG and neuroendocrine studies have found several abnormalities similar to those seen in depression, such as decreased REM latency, non-suppression on the dexamethasone-suppression test and decreased growth hormone secretion with clonidine infusions . Only a part of the biological markers found in depression was found relevant in OCD, and their specificity and importance are still unclear.
